It's almost needless to ask, but I'll ask anyway, the device is iFi house sound?

No worries - it is very much in the vein of our house sound! If you've listened to our stuff, you have an idea!

Oh yeah, indeed! I'm "picturing' in my mind right now...

@Sebastien Chiu, is there a hold switch (or a function of the ChronoDial that does the same thing) to prevent sudden volume changes?

Xcan way too big, I would have never considered it for use on the go. Got my BTR5 a year ago and sold the couple of DAPs I had. So small, great sounding for mobile use and half decent wired over type C cable at the office. Here's hope the Blu will sound even better.

Cool pouch. Is there a clip? I want this thing. :)

Also, is the volume control independent? The worst thing about Bluetooth is 16 volume steps in Android and Apple.
SoundAssistant_com.samsung.android.soundassistant.apk works on my Samsung S21 and my Samsung S7 to provide me more steps. So rather than 15, I have 75. (I could have 150 steps but that is too granular for me). I don't know if it works with non-samsung devices but it might be worth a try.

Except in Australia, apparently.
Euros, Pounds and Greenbacks are often the same whole number but us poor Canucks and those poor Ozzies alway get exchange rated..... We do not benefit from our over inflated dollars.

  • Can also be used as a Bluetooth receiver in a speaker-based audio system (via the 3.5mm output) or as a USB DAC/headphone amp (via the USB-C charging port)

How do we know its the correct VRMS? or should we not pay too much attention to that?

Can't complain. $199 USD plus 10% GST is indeed around $299 AUD. Wish there was a clear ETA for it, can't wait to listen.
My 7Hz Timeless planar IEMs will be delivered by DHL on Monday and looking at the specs, the Blu will make a great par with it. My EIR-Z1Rs sound phenomenal with the BTR5 and I'm expecting great things from the Blu as well, especially when the Xbass is on :D
