Looks like the battery has run flat and you may have to connect it to a power source for 30 mins till the blue light comes on and stays on.

Seems so, I alternate my set ups and just realized its been over 2 weeks of not charging.

Just one comment, both X-Bass & 3D-Matrix are pure analogue circuits, not DSP. We are not great fans of DSP and generally do not use DSP.

We are also not great fans of other digital manipulation of audio which is why we stick to analogue volume controls and have options to bypass digital filtering in many of our products.

Engaging X-Bass or 3D-Matrix (or both) will increase measured distortion at a given output voltage, though the increased level in the bass will cause an increase in distortion from the higher levels (as would turning up the volume more), so they can be used without a "bad conscience".

By design X-Bass and 3D-Matrix are not "gimmicks" but instead circuitries intended to compensate for specific shortcoming in headphones related listening, when compared to a serious speaker based hifisystem. Many open back headphones have a premature bass roll-off, X-Bass corrects this.

@iFi audio, just checking out your refreshed site. There isn't any specific mention of the IDSD BL, but it seems that the IDSD itself has the same specs now as the BL. Is this the case?
