bbfoto, agreed on a couple of your findings.  FW 2.05 has helped with button lag and (most) of the song cut-offs.  The remaining major problem I experience is your number 3.  After my disappointment this was not fixed in the 2.05 firmware, I sent ibasso a note and received this response a couple of days ago.

Regarding to your SD card problem.  I would suggest you to fully format the DX90 and reload the firmware using the following tool

We have not made the instruction.  So, please read the DX50's.  They are almost same.  You can find the instruction here.

I didn't see that there was a separate "feature requests" thread, so I thought it best to keep all of this info combined in one place to facilitate easier perusal and implementation by iBasso.

I had performed the wipe/format/reinstall FW as per iBasso's email while on v2.0.0, but will make sure to do it again using v2.0.5.

FYI, the Bit Rate when viewing the "Music Info" is shown as being 32bit quite often, when in fact the file is 24bit. Anyone else notice this?

I just tried to add songs to the DX90's sd card for the first time...what a nightmare.  I was having usb connectivity and sd card recognition problems, which I saw once before.  More importantly the file access on my Windows 7 machine was very slow.  Any time I accessed a folder through Windows it would take a long time for the file list to update.  I've seen this on slower very high capacity lash drives but this was much worse.  Ultimately this behavior resulted in three lock-ups to my PC that required hard reboots...and this PC has never locked up in the 5 years since I built it.
 
I'm stumped, there has got to be something about this 64 gb sandisk card that the DX90 doesn't like.  It works fine in other android devices.    
 
When I finally got the file additions on to the DX90, I had to go through the same process of factory resets and scanning directory folders one at a time to get them properly recognized.

Wolfen68, the way I add songs to my micro SD cards is by inserting the micro SD card in an SD card adapter and then inserting the SD card adapter in a multi card reader, either a standalone one, or the reader on my laptop. My Microsoft Surface also has a micro SD card port, so I could use that if I wished. I then copy songs to the card while it is "offline" from the DX90. That way I can quickly add as many songs as I wish, without having the DX90 do a scan of the card each time a song is added. When I reinsert the card in the DX90, a new scan is automatically initiated. 
 
Adding songs this way is in my experience much, much faster than trying to add then with the SD card already in the DX90.

wolfen68: I haven't had any problems transferring songs to my 64 and 128 GB Sandisk mSD cards with the DX90 connected directly to my MacBook Pro. My cards were formatted in my Fiio X3 prior to use and work just fine with my Fiio and iBasso DAPs.

Thanks guys.  Any recommendations on the best way to re-format a 64 gb card to Fat32? I'll try that again and transfer songs with the card removed.  Also, is it confirmed that it is OK to pop the card in and out while the DX90 is powered up?

You can also use exFAT which I belive is the default. Formatting to fat32 I use the program guiformat.

Popping the card in and out while powered on is fine and on DX50 was the only way to force a scan of the card

Yet, if I want to choose the next or previous file, it seems to take a different order as basis. I have tested it on some examples adjusting the tags and noticed that it seems to be the album tag (and not for instance the title tag, which I expected to be the most probable choice) according to which the files are sorted internally when using next or previous buttons.

Is that something you can confirm? And anyway, is there a possibility to change this, for instance to the file name order? I don't really want to adjust all me files' tags just for that...

In the Directories view I have the same problem; in the Artist/Album view everything is fine. For the last 2 months I've cleaned up my tags so this strange thing should not happen due to the bad tagging.

I thought I'd share my observations about the DX90 not properly reading the metadata of files, or tagging the Artist/Album as " null ".
I am currently using firmware V 2.0.0.
My DX90 works fine to display Title, Artist, Album, and Album Covers for all files (mp3, alac, flac, mp4), expect for AIFF files for some reason.
As soon as I converted all of my aif files to FLAC, it was able to display all the metadata for them. I converted them using dBpoweramp, which took a very long time for all the files but it worked great.
Maybe this bug with reading AIFF files is fixed in the newest firmware update but FLAC works great for me.

Extra note...my son who uses the DX90 way more than me is reporting that on FW 2.05 he is experiencing 2-3 second fadeouts during music playback that is happening several times per hour.
