I think not very soon. Maybe to Christmas time

What's this time frame based on?

What I didn't realize is that people are buying multiple AMPs for their phone out. 3 amps that do essentially the same thing. We audiophiles are crazy because after reading this, I am probably going to try to pick up a mkii. Crazy.

Each amp has its own flavor, has been the case with the DX200 series as well, not crazy at all :)

Cue up @ExpatinJapan 's amp module Jenga for a preview of what's to come 😛

Audiophiles have to have that last 1%, even at a cost... :)
Yeah, but the hearing margin for error is at least 3%. Often times we think we are hearing things we aren't. That's why I agree with the idea of waiting a day and listening again in the morning when our hearing is reset to the new day. I am big on confirming what I think I am hearing over time.

You don't ask an audiophile if having 3 or more amps on a DAP is crazy. You ask your wife or a non-audiophile friend.

No you don't ask that. Don't ask the question if you don't want to hear the answer! lol

*road to 300

aiming at Thursday for 300 hours on the amp12. (The change from 100 to 200 made a difference, even with the burned in DX300).

after then i will compare again with amp11mark21 & amp11mark2 -

-…and finish up the review i have been sitting on. (Whats to say really, snappy ui, excellent wifi connection for apps, sounds great, a truly modern dap…).

Could be a simple thing of:
amp11mark2 is a great on the go & enjoy the music type amp
- amp12 is a sit at quiet home and enjoy the music or a clean line out to the home system or external amp.
- amp11mark1 is good for listening to music while you wait for your ordered amp11mark2 to arrive in the post.

anyways…going for that 300 hours….

Couldn't agree more. This is exactly what I thought to myself after listening to the amp12 today. Great and a very true description of the sound characteristics of amps 11.2 and 12.

oof, as a mk1 owner I am now sad.

nah, I like my mk1 :L3000:

Don't be sad, I beg to differ AMP11 mk1 is special in its own right... it's got that unique tubey vibe, this being said I haven't heard AMP11 mk2 but to me AMP11 mk1 is a great compliment to AMP12. Nothing to be sad about :)

Question: When using in the USB-DAC mode, how do we know what sample rate/MQA or whatever is being decoded? My indicator turns off and there's no sample rate listed so how can you tell?

its a local made, 4 Braids of 19 AWG UP OOC copper Litz..
Non of copper material sounding attached to it... really helpful to drive VO directly to DX300. HG DF05, Vol 48
IMO...

Nice!

By the way I jusy looked at the pic where you have the VO directly plugged into the DX300... you're using LO vs PO?

Ive decided to keep the amp12. Its just too good. When came back to the amp 11.2 I missed this subtlety. The background is so black that every sound becomes very articulated, clean and full. Very emotional listening.
I'll be honest with you! I kinda' thought you just might keep it around... :)

Does the AMP12 help reduce hiss on super sensitive IEMs like the Andromeda?
I posted about this earlier and also had a PM exchange with another member over the time i have had the amp12

the post is somewhere back a bit

Dynamic drivers and hybrids seemed ok

The Campfire Andros at first had some hiss, this decreased later and then later decreased even more to virtually non existent. Andro 2019, 2020, Gold and MW10.
