Has anyone found a tempered glass of sorts on taobao or JD for the DX160?

Installed from card or OTA?
From W10 PC, so not really OTA but with the image on the W10 machine, just as described by Lurker. But that part did work out in the end once I found a working combination of USB port and USB-C cable.
But already back to stock ROM again.

A quick question, I've just got my dx160 today and playing a few songs through qobuz studio. I've noticed that dx160 won't play hi-res songs, just states cd quailty and 44.1khz. Settings are correct in the qobuz app, am I missing something? Thanks.
Sorry can't comment on Qobuz, these are the app I tried and which play Hi-Res for sure
- Mango player, bitperfect, plays and unfolds MQA, no Tidal/Qobuz playback
- Hiby, bitperfect, MQA is not unfolded, no Tidal/Qobuz playback
- Neutron, bitperfect, plays and unfolds MQA standard, no Tidal/Qobuz playback
- UAPP, bitperfect, MQA will cost you extra. You could try UAPP evaluation yourself, it has inbuilt Tidal and Qobuz playback and the DX160 DAC is recognised and set automatically

Worth the wait? I'm still on the fence. Maybe I'll treat myself once I start my new job.
Hope you can start your new job soon, you know you want it.
I have no regrets, especially at this price, ticks almost all the boxes, an extra SD card slot would have been welcome, as a better WiFi reception, but that is about it.

Yes, the lurker add-on ROm can be installed via the PC.
I assume you have a LG V20/30/40? The DX160 supports MQA but you need to buy the MQA plugin for UAPP to make use of it.

Hi, all. I'm relatively new owner of the 2020 version and need some help with an album art issue.

As an example, I've added updated cover art to an album in foobar2000. All tracks show they are tagged with the new art.

I connect the DX160 to my Windows 10 PC and delete the "old" version of the album and then add the updated version (with new cover art) then disconnect from my computer, as usual.

However, a library re-scan does not add the new artwork to all of the album's music files. The first two tracks are the old art, then the new art appears. I've repeated this process and had the same results. I have also deleted Mango Player's app data and cache, re-scanned library and have even done a factory reset. Still no update to cover art for every track.

I've gone back to foobar2000 and double-checked the artwork there and it is correct for each album track. Wonder what I'm missing...

Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Charlie

Good synergy between DX160 and Sony 1AM2
