I have to say thank you all very much for the advice, and I have spent the last few days looking at each and every headphone mentioned and recommended here. As I have already ordered the AKG K267's from Front End Audio, I will wait for those first, and see how they compare to the headphones I currently own. It seems that what I want overall is a "mix" between the AKG K550 and the V-MODA Crossfade M-100. Design/style, balance, build quality, and comfort of the K550/1; combined with the bass punch, service, and repairability of the M-100's.

That's what I hope the K267's are, and what I think they will be, based on what I've heard.
