Ok, I’m switching gears a bit compared to my other thread. I realized that to approximate sound signature (darkish, fun, laid back, spacious, reasonably detailed) of my dead UE 5Pro’s I’ll have to spend $200+ which I don’t want to.

Now after my 2nd pair of 5Pro’s are gone I’m listening to my very old and fragile Shure E3c and will use them as a reference. For replacements in under $150 range I narrowed down to following (in no particular order):

·         Audeo PFE 122
·         Klipsch Image S4
·         Monster Turbines
·         Etys MC5
·         Panasonic HJE900
·         Jays q-Jays

I’m totally ok with the sound of my E3c though after U5Pro they seem a little bland and I have to crank them up on my iPhone4 to get better detail and separation. So among cans I listed above (or others <$150) which ones you’ll suggest that are at least no worse than E3c? As you’ve already guessed I’m no fan of too analytical and bright sound. I’ll be using cans mostly in a gym listening mostly to classic rock so low microphonics,  durability and non tangling cabling are important.
