I`m primarily looking for DDC around 1k, to do PC->USB ->Chord Hugo TT2->headpones/stereo setup. Streamer looks like an option.
Has anyone compared Red to other price-relevant DDCs, Singxer SU6? Any feedbacks?

I recommend trying both i²s and USB. All you need is a decent HDMI cable. I bought a super short one from blue jeans, it works and sounds excellent.greetings

anyone on the latest software on Red OS, just saw its available for update on the Web UI, it's 16th Feb 2024 Roon Ready software. I updated it and now it seems you can only enable 1 music service at a time, u no longer can have Roon + NAA + Squeezelite + others enabled at the same times.
Anyone has any experience?

For me it doesn't even work. It acts just like before, with that buggy version: it boots, but then it freezes.
Hopefully we will be able to enable NAA and Roon simultaneously again in future.
IDK if just having the one service enabled is a roon-imposed limitation (they can be quite strict with how devices need to operate before they give a 'roon ready' badge from what I hear) but that's a bit of a key feature for me so hopefully it can be changed

Does anyone have a copy of previous firmware?

Yeah, seems to be a decision to only allow one service at a time. However, Roon now recognizes Red as a Roon Ready Device after 2 OTA updates. I have an older Red.
If you don't use Roon, it would be best to move to Ropieee or an older Red OS, IMO.

I very much recommend the HQPlayer OS, you can try for free.
