As I know, China's preorder deal extended to 9/7/2010.  You may call head-direct to see if you can still get the preorder deal.  I think Fang is kind enough to give u the deal.

Hello, I have news for you all. I couldn't bear the silence of the thread when I was eagerly waiting for it, and I decided to do some research based on my beyond-repair Chinese and the help of my friend who is fluent. So, I went into erji.net, and this is what I found.
 
Maybe this should be posted by Nankai himself, but as I can imagine others waiting for some info, I just decided to post what was posted there. Please note that this post is from the Chinese forums, this may not apply to those who live outside of China.

说一下大家比较感兴趣的发货时间问题。前几天我已经在试验板上已经调整了元件，并给出了改进建议。工厂已经根据改进建议作出了调整，并且在昨天用联邦快递最快的那个等级的international priority mail给我发出了改进的样机。我会在下周二到周三收到改进样机之后确认，然后工厂立即会给所有8月18日之前付款的用户发货（大约是9月8日起之后的一周陆续发货）。所有8月18日之后付款的用户会在9月底左右发货，但是发货时间由于供应商的日期我们还无法确定具体是哪一天。
 
关于赠品RE262的发货：RE262的单晶铜线材会在9月10日到货。发货时间在9月20-25日。

It says that he will get the samples of the upgraded 602 by 7th or the 8th via international priority mail(the factory is located at China and he is in America I think) and confirm it, and they will be shipping them that day. I don't think they will give any old 602s to an outsider anymore.
