I never pre-order or ordered anything from head-direct before so I was is there any notification sent when the HM-602 is shipped or should I just expect a brown box to show at my front door one day?

I presume so.  I think its all about the date of your invoice.

I've ordered a few things from HD and have never received any notification. The stuff will show up at your door (very quickly in my case, although the items were in stock).

Thanks to Fang I have the HM-602 for testing. I have taking some pictures and posted them at: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/496035/hifiman-602-talk-about-your-initial-impressions-and-specs/195#post_6892728

Is there a manual for this unit? Thanks.

I'm curious about the CJK support. Chinese support is visible from the pictures, but can anyone confirm it supports Korean and Japanese? I've been trying to figure this out using the search function, but doesn't show anything.

Some pics of the final hardware of the HM-602 to tide you all over until they finally ship.

AC Adapter Charger is a universal 100-240VAC 5VDC-1A type, and is much much smaller than the HM-801's.

Side by side comparisons to other popular portables. (Left to Right; HM-801, HM-602, iRiver iHP-120, Pico Slim, and Sansa Clip+)

Ugh!! I want this so bad...but I need to save up for a new home. Funny thing is that a few minutes ago I told  myself that it would be OK if I got this now, because I could recoup the money by selling something. I tried to add it into my cart and checkout using Google, but I got a page error. I'm taking this as a sign to continue saving for that house...

Edit**  Argh!!! I got it  to work and bought it LOL...hehe. Oh well, they  have a 30 day warranty in case I have buyers remorse. I'm hoping that this thing knocks my socks off!
