I guess there is not much more to be said about the sus hp inself.
It is now, and for some time has been, the amp thread that goes on and on.
'THIS is what you need!' and NO that amp will not 'git er done'!

Yeah, I can always unwatch......................
Lol. I guess after 984 pages, sound signature has been discussed ad nauseam as well. Pretty much everything for that matter.

You are joking right? Dc offset can result in reduced dynamic range, shortened driver life and in the worst case destroy your cans over short to medium time.
Fair enough so ultimately you agree with Lochlan ?

Sounds really nice with my new (to me) Ampsandsound Mogwai SE.

I mostly have my Susvara connected to a Ampsandsound Forge and love the sound. From what I understand the Forge is somewhat similar to the Mogwai.
Yeah I think the Forge is a slightly modded Mogwai with different output impedance options

My BS meter almost maxed out when I read this in their newsletter about this amp:
“Even better than the 10,000USD Audio Research Reference 75!"

I like Burson products, at least the one I’ve got (Conductor 3XP). Nice to see new products popping up. If nothing else their industrial design is extraordinary. WAF on the Conductor is pretty high.

Yes I‘ve once owned the Soloist 3XP. Excellent product indeed.

I'll never understand the constant "you'll blow your drivers" fear mongering when it's literally well documented how common people using the Susvara with speaker amps is, and how uncommon it is to hear of anyone actually running into problems. I haven't come across one issue personally nor have I seen any here in the past two years as the trend has become more common. Seems quite a bit silly to keep having the same argument when it simply isn't reflected as an issue in real life.. (fyi, I am aware that the same troll keeps driving this same conversation, so I'm not judging the broader group lol)

It's not fear mongering about blowing the driver per say, it's about using an amp without an output cap. An older amp w/o an output cap can develop a large DC offset. If your planar headphone is constantly plugged into it, it can severely shorten the lifespan of the driver. So anyone who uses a speaker amp needs to be very aware of this.
