That's quite interesting. Perhaps it depends on what type of music you listen to. I listen to 16th through late 19th century orchestral, chamber and choral/opera music, which the Susvara is inherently well suited for. I can't see what the deficiencies are on the part of the RAG 2 that would impact this music. It seems to me, assuming adequate juice, the magic is in the Susvara themselves. I have no problem considering other equipment if it makes a significant audible difference, but for now I'm content. I will continue to monitor this forum to see what others are doing. But I really believe the style of music is a big factor in all this, for instance, heavy bass and slam aren't important to me though there is plenty coming out of the Rag/ Susvara combo when the music I listen to calls for it. I could be wrong and I'm here to learn!

There's nothing at all wrong with being content or happy. In fact, in this hobby it's a joy. Nothing to be wrong about here either, and agree the Susvaras are the magic with any capable amp. Cheers!

Can you tell me more about the different experience of the Susvara with the Kinki Studio THR-1 vs Ferrum Oor vs Burson Soloist 3XP? The THR-1 is well priced if it can indeed deliver the goods with the Susvara. The Ferrum Oor also seems to be an excellent amp but the Kinki seems well priced in comparison.I am using Burson Conductor 3XR which is similar to Soloist in amplification stage. It drives Susvara nicely with sufficient power and dynamics, much better than my Benchmark HPA4.
If you want to further explore Susvara's potential, I suggest you looking for Kinki Studio THR-1. It is an amazing amplifier with the smoothest and the most analogue sounding one, and the power is sufficient to drive anything on the Earth.
Nicely put! As @number1sixerfan fan said, as long as you get joy, that’s all that matters. That's quite interesting. Perhaps it depends on what type of music you listen to. @Sajid Amit where would you rate the AHB2? Did you like it? decent enough? Mid Tier?
Def above midtier.@Sajid Amit where would you rate the AHB2? Did you like it? decent enough? Mid Tier?
It might not cost as much as Pass or Accuphase speaker amp setup but it delivers, IMO. It drives the Susvara adequately, and if you have it, unless you are looking for different flavors, you should be all set.
Love how clean it is, devoid of coloration, but in the best sense.

As far as I understood IDSD is offering the same amp modes like solid state and tube but only offering less amplification which won't matter as a preamp.
As a DAC is needed anyway this setup would reduce the length of the overall chain to 2 plus headphone instead of 3.
Pro iDSD also works as a preamp with three different hardware settings (SS, Tube and Tube+) just as Pro iCAN. The former doesn't feature a typical headphone amplifier circuit, however. It relies on its analog stage that's powerful enough to handle many cans, but loads such as Susvara would be happier with Pro iCAN still.

The Xbass circuit is though strategically part only of Micro IDSD line or Ican right?
I guess many people are using IDSD Pro not in conjunction with Pro Ican but with other amps and could profit from such circuits applied upon the preamp stage.

As I and others have said before, you can tell someone how you hear something, but you can't tell them how they will hear it.
And genre differences are a factor.

That's correct, Pro iDSD doesn't have these functions embedded.

They are, but three different modes are the kay feature of our entire Pro range that makes the biggest difference.

New member of the Susvara fam as of tonight!
Have it on my ears now running through our Pro iDSD and Pro iCAN and am pretty much at a loss of words.

As Susvara is also a "close" follower of Harman target, I think it would be interesting for you guys, too. Harman target from the man himself...
