Welcome aboard! And your pic is good enough to spot KR Audio's tubes made for Lampizator I believe? Is it a 5U4G rectifier?

Wow what a sharp sight - yes it is indeed a KR Audio's 5U4G rectifier tube, anniversary 2018 special edition on Glenn el3n tube amp :)

Speaking of those EL3N tubes, not many replacements for them? Luckily they're affordable!

Yeah they are more affordable compared to many other tubes. Well I do have some spares, and speaking about their lifespan they can actually last quite a while.

That rectifier you got will probably last you many years too, I reckon. 5U4Gs in general are very solid and built to take a lot!

I put the Dekoni Fenestrated Sheepskin on. Much nicer, feels more premium.

I can't help but nitpick every items design choices, so take with grain of salt. They are the best built Hifiman.

Thankfully I can just make myself another cable when I could be ****ed.
I use the Dekoni Fenestrated pads as well., I like the feel of them better than stock. Don't really notice any differences in SQ.

AHB2 is in the chain and a few songs in and I am pretty much in awe of these headphones, amp, preamp, dac combo at this point. A few songs does not make a verdict but I don't anticipate this changing for the worse with any amount of burn in. Crazy how quiet this amp is with these headphones, the Ferrum Oor is amazing as a Preamp with the Hyposis so far too.

Looking for recommendations on a Tube Preamp to have in my rack. Not for everyday usage or I would spring for the Primaluna Eva 400 so likely should stay under $2500 if anyone has any recommendations. Please don't say Woo Audio WA22 since I just sold it and shouldn't have........... :)

I love my Cayin SC-6LS mk2. Sound, build, all amazing. Musical Paradise MP301-MK3 is inexpensive but sounds great and even better after capacitor and tube upgrades.

There's a lot of talk and recommendations around here about amps, and for good reason. What about DACs? What would you guys say is the consensus on a DAC that does that Susvara justice?

I was using a DAVE + M Scaler, but then I got a Holo May R-to-R DAC and yow - the hype is REAL! That goes so great with a tube amp and I'm sure with a SS one as well. I've since moved the DAVE + M Scaler to my 2 channel system, replacing an MSB Analog DAC....

A consensus on Head-Fi about.... anything? :relaxed:

All I can tell you is if you like the sound of a certain DAC, the Susvara won't make you unlike it. It's quite neutral and transparent. There are literally dozens (hundreds?) of DACs that will sound good to great with a Susvara. The amp is more important simply because the Sus is a power hog.
