those who say the risks do not exist

Speaker amps with headphones certainly aren't risk-free. Any material that explains those risks and how to avoid them is worth watching. It's common sense really.

Any recommendations where to get a reliable speaker tap adapter for the TT2? Thanks.

Moon audio would be a good starting point. Email them and they can make you one or if your using a custom cable get them to make you one so the cables are identical in quality.

I personally got arctic cables to make me one.

Ok sounds good. What is the price they charge?

I will sound like a total newbie, but to me, Speakers amps are a no simply cause I don't use speakers. I use Headphones and IEM and I find such speaker amps not practical to use for my case.
Between a Bakoon and Niimbus, I ordered the Niimbus for practicality, even if I am sure the Bakoon 13R could sound better with 1 headphone I own.

I guess we all have different motivations.

Yea so that is such a cringeworthy video. Easily one of the most obviously biased I've ever seen lol. And that's just really, really unfortunate.. as I really like the Abyss TC. Just kind of lame and annoying to see such a shill type video like that from them.
Haha I'm so glad you said that.

I basically detest the Abyss Youtube channel.

good lord, a video suggesting they prefer headphone amps to speaker amps for their headphones or headphones in general is disturbing?...tough crowd!

I wasn't disturbed by it. I just found it worthless (for me)... and possibly self-serving. Probably would have forgotten about it by now if people didn't keep bringing it up.

I recommend Lavricables, they know what they are doing and their cables/adapters feel premium, without costing thousands. I think I paid for mine like 150 eur.

I am looking to get a speaker set up eventually. But as context, I would rather spend $15k on a pair of KEF Reference 3s or Focal Kanta No3.

Anyone have any experience with the upline bakoon amps used with headphones and speakers? I know they are relaunching under Enleum. It just seems that the Bakoon amp is the one amp that absolutely everyone likes with the Susvara, and it's convenient. Though not available anymore. I haven't seen one bad review.
I’m using the Bakoon-13r to drive my Susvaras, as well as my 95db/8 ohm Tonian TL-D1 speakers, which I consider to be their sonic equivalent. The sound is sublime in either case. Very detailed, non-fatiguing and organic sounding, with great soundstaging.

I’ve long been a fan of low powered SET amps paired with higher efficiency wideband designs such as the TL-D1s, which I consider to be a masterpiece. Having tried to replicate the sound qualities that I value without the tube related hassles, I’ve come close a few times with several First Watt amps, but none have ticked all the boxes for me like the Bakoon amp. The fact that it also does so well with the Susvaras is just amazing to me.

Even more surprisingly, the 13r also sounded amazing with the Graham Chartwell LS6F speakers that I previously owned, despite posing a significantly more demanding load. It did tend to gently grumble a bit with the 6F speakers on more demanding passages, however. I am indeed very happy with this amp in regard to driving either my headphones as well as my speakers. I am physically downsizing, so the tiny form factor of the 13r had me over the moon. With that in mind, I am planning to try a similarly diminutive pair of Harbeth P3ESRS with the 13r within the next week.

Well, Abyss sells HP amps on their website and not speaker amps, and they even asked Eleven Audio to design the Formula S amp for the 1266. So Abyss is going to be biased in their views.

After trying my Susvaras with the TToby speaker amp, the concerns mentioned in the Abyss video are massively overstated. As long as people don't do anything totally stupid with a speaker amp, all will be OK.

Yeah, I wasn't able to sit through the entirety of it, as much as I love them for the TC.
