HiFiMan Susvara

With the recent discounting of prices for the HE1000 line especially for the HEKSE, the new headphone might be priced around $3500-$4000.

If it is a more power efficient version of the Susvara, It will probably be less detailed but will have the same characteristics of that sound just like what the Audeze LCD 4z is to the LCD 4.

It's all speculation. But what I know 100% from a reliable source is that Susvara remains unchanged in the Hifiman range will not be replaced by the new release.
Why is the rumoured price 8k then? That doesn't make any sense, does it?
And the rumours also don't talk about a closed back. Well, some of them.
In the end speculation is fun but won't lead to anything, sadly. We just have to wait...

It makes more sense to be priced around $3500-$4000 since they discounted the entire HE1000 line and left that price bracket open.

A lot of wildly contradicting claims here...

I think that Hifiman is working on both, or even all three.
1. New open flagship at 8k
2. Susvara closed
3. More sensitive Version of Susvara

Probably the rumors are all too Fuzzy to distinguish between them

Why would you ruin a Susvara making it "closed"? Putting your hands "near" the earpads is enough to utterly wreck the openess. I appreciate people need closed backs for particular reasons, and that will be a compromise! It absolutely should not carry any of the SUSVARA letters in its name, that would be a disservice.

The real Sophie’s Choice is between whatever this ends up being and Immanis.
Unless you can personally audition them, I'd hold off until some more critical reviews show up for either.
Though I suppose in the short term assuming they are readily available, you wouldn't lose much speculating and selling if it wasn't for you.

Susvara launched in June 2017 for $6k. That's equivalent to $7.7k as of April 2024. So if it launches at $8k in July 2024 that would be almost the exact same price adjusted for inflation.

Heh, I don't think I have the patience to wait until CanJam Dallas this year.
