they now have a version with a DAC

It's not the same as the EF1000..... different topology for the pre-amp and power amp and inferior to the EF1000 !

Nope, the EF1000 like the EF1000DAC is build to order, you want one, email customer service and they will build you one.

I tried the DCS Lina stack with the Susvara.....to my ears massively overpriced mid-fi set-up !

The amp is mid tier. The DAC and Clock on the other hand are truly top tier.

It's all speculation. But what I know 100% from a reliable source is that Susvara remains unchanged in the Hifiman range will not be replaced by the new release.
