Nice. Hopefully there is a good upgrade deal for us.
If it's $5, I'll upgrade for sure. I'll pay for shipping.I hope that when Susvara V2, or whatever it is called, happens, it isn't $10,000USD...Having just bought the Susvara, I also hope there is an upgrade deal!

If a Susvara 2 is made there better be a way for current Susvara owners to upgrade. Even if there is a small fee involved it would be totally worth in my opinion. Hifiman can't afford to drop the ball like they did with the HEK V1 to V2 upgrade and alienate a lot it's current owners. It's still surprising to me knowing that Bian is intimately aligned in R&D right now, working on the Bugatti Chiron of headphones for next year, the Susvara 2.

Lol, it did piss off a lot of customers and the Susvara's cost even more. I don't even want to imagine how the headphone community would react if Hifiman came out with a second version of the Susvara's so soon like they did with the HEK's. With that said, I think Hifiman got it right with the Susvara's. Hopefully we'll have a number of years to enjoy them without worry. That settles it then. Upgrade deal or the family riots!
We might catch Bian next year at a NY expo, and when Rhamnetin asks him why the Susvara 2 is 10k, he'll probably say because it sounds good. But hopefully there is an upgrade.
Wait, so is the specter of a 2019 Susvara sequel an openly acknowledged fact, or more on the level of a rumor?

I'm not surprised about the Susvara outclassing the HE-6 in every way. The HE1000 kind of does that too, as do a lot of other newer high end headphones. The HE-6 is a real jack of all trades, master of none.
