It looks like the right thing to me. I think there is currently only a single 560 pad available.
I am considering trying a pair myself to compare with the Modulor/Jerg pads.

HFM is now offering both the Production (Focus) and pre-Production (Focus-A) HE-560 pads.  Same cost.

You might want to take note of the size of the opening, if that's a potential problem for you:

HFM states they are 6 cm and 5.5 cm, respectively, yet the Production version certainly seems to measure smaller than 6 cm.  Definitely going to double-check when I receive my pair.  I'd hate to have to return them.

Interesting.
Jerg was just saying that he had heard that they "might" offer the pre-production pads... yesterday, I think.
Now they are on the site!

There has been lots of high spirited discussion about which is "best" and exactly what the differences sonically are.
I am not really sure at this point which I should try.

Take a look at this thread:

Look in the last 100 or so pages (or just search for production... or pre-production pads). They have been talking about the pads with the 560 for weeks.
Some like one , some the other. It seems to be a personal preference sort of thing.

They aren't real expensive, maybe try both. You won't know for sure until you listen to them yourself.

If the shoe pad fits, wear it.

I just got my Focuspads (non-A) and the internal diameter is just over 5.5cm (definitely not 6cm).

Other than that the things are pretty much angled, softer Jergpads. Nothing to complain about stitching-wise.

The pads are glued to the mounting rings and have a short lip over the ring itself (similar to what we do in the Jergpad mod).

The pleather is perforated only interiorally. The pleather 'behind' the velour is unperforated. I can't take a picture without separating it from the mounting ring, which I don't want to do at this stage.

The new velour is nowhere near as itchy as on the original velours, and is reminiscent of the Beyerdynamic pads.

I've been chatting with modulor over PMs recently, and without going into any detail (it's up to him if he wants to post an update specifying it, or not, at his discretion) basically some unfortunate circumstances in real life occupied him the last month or two.

Is there a significant improvement between the Jerg V1.0 and the 2.5 ? because i just bought the He-500 from someone in here and they have the V.1 attached to them, is it worthy to look for the 2.5 version ?

Tanks !

Rather try out the focus pad A's. Don't know.
V1 is kind of the core of the mod. Not sure how big the improvements are with the rest of the mods.

How do you guys think the focus pads compare to the jergpads?

I've been swapping between them a lot lately, so I can answer with some confidence now. Keep in mind these are with fully modded Jergpads (with open vents).

Focus (and ""-A) pads are significantly more comfortable, that's definite.

In terms of sound, Jergpads are much bassier, with a fuller midrange, better tone and timbre in general, and more realistic imaging, with a more "out of the head" soundstage.

Meanwhile, Focus (and ""-A) pads deliver smoother treble, cleaner more accurate bass, better detail extraction / transparency in general, and more precise (albeit more closed-in) imaging.

As you can see, I've been struggling deciding what to just go with, ultimately I may just use one solution for a few months, swap, and vise versa.
