Comfort is one of these things that is pretty individual. But, YES, the Senn 650, to me, is much more comfortable than the HEK (I did sell the 650 though...one has to suffer for art! :) )

In my case I would say the exact opposite. May be that I have big head but I do feed the HD650 clamping tightly, more than I would like. The HE1000 were much better.

Yeah, size and other things would make a difference. I have a small head, found the 650 among the most comfortable I've owned. I get that "hot spot" on the top of my head with the HEK, Hifiman sent me a different size band which might help, but I'm too lazy/klutzy to do the change, just living with it.

Not sure how it works, those titles, just noticed it myself yesterday. Wasn't sure what I thought of it at first, but I like it too (boy, I must be really annoying when it comes to the ZOTL :) )

I'm sure it is endearing, and in all good fun.  Makes me want to listen to the ZOTL with the HE1000, that's for sure!

I LOVE my custom title, despite its grammatical incorrectness (should be "toward," not "towards,")  but it's a great and unexpected gift!

I tend to read and post a lot on my phone, which doesn't show the custom titles, so I'm not even sure when it wad placed, but it is fun, glad to have it (NOW I have to keep the ZOTL...not that I had other plans, mind you).

I sold my HD600s and 650s because of the vice-like clamping. HEKs have no comfort issues on my medium head. They feel good.
If anyone  wants to buy my Cardas 600/650 cable let me know.

^^^ Bingo! Goes for me too. The HE1000s are profoundly way more comfortable for me!!!

How do you compare the LCD-4 to the HE-1000?

Both are truly fantastic. I did write my thoughts in my review (see my sig). Along with the SR009s, they are my personal top 3 headphones.
