Have any of you guys tried the EF-6 or the WA6SE with the HE1K? Im trying to find impressions but have so far only found very brief ones.

I'm looking for amp recommendations for the he1000. Currently I have a QueStyle cma800r. I'm not opposed to selling the Questyle if need be. Here is what I'm considering, but certainly open to suggestions:
 
1. Adding a second cma800r for a mono block setup.
 
2. Audio GD NFB-1
 
3. Schiit mjo 2
 
4. Open to suggestions
 
*currently using Gungnir multi-bit as source.

Have the MicroZOTL2, sounds great as noted above. Ordered the e Liquid Carbon, haven't heard it but reports ate that it is also a great match for the HEK.

mmm.......just curious: we all know that the HE1K basically is like Bruce Jenner/Caithlin Jenner: he/she is open to any amp pairing and still sound from good to great BUT is there any amp or amp/dac that makes the HE1K sound bad?

I guess that would be the advantage of he1000, no? But for me, direct from iphone did sound compress.

Too much talent and stellar sound quality for one album…should be illegal!

 

 
Indeed ....he was a rare talent and yes the Trio in Tokyo is a fine album.

Saw Michel Pettruciano years back at the Village Vanguard, fabulous set! (the visual aspect of seeing him perform was quite interesting in its own right).

That would have been fantastic. 
 
Amazing what he overcame to become one of the top Jazz pianists of our time.
 
Very sad that his life was cut so short (no pun intended)

Thank you. I read the review and it is difficult to decide of the EF-6 or the MicroZOTL 2 is a better amp for the HE-1000. Wish there was some way I could hear them both and decide. No one seems to have both to compare and post some impressions.
