The Chinese threads are now about 2 levels ahead of us where it comes to being off-topic, so there's nothing new to add from there. They're now discussing the Audeze Z, and whether the HEK can best that. Nobody there has heard the Z, but discussion is nonetheless heated.

I was expecting that these headphone is coming out soon. Now I am curious how much it will cost and how much amplification will it need. I suppose if the new EF1000 amp's output gives 8w in Class A as stated somewhere, so HE1000 will not be easy to drive.

They look somewhat like the Orpheus.

The question is, do they sound as Summit-Fi as the Orpheus. The hype (perhaps well-deserved) is strong with this one.
