I'm getting a used pair of HE-6. but if they have six screws don't know why the new rings wouldn't work!

What does that piece of foam do for the sound?

If Tony's HE-6 is the only one with 6 screws, then the 6-screw ring from Hifiman obviously won't fit a normal HE-6.
I think the piece of foam is a lousy attempt on doing what the fuzzor mod does.

Mine had the quarter foam damping also - first thing I ripped out when I modded the HE6. Kinda tacky, really.

All of the pictures in the "Fuzor mod thread" show six screws.

Here is one of the pictures of the fuzor mod in the thread I linked.....what does it say the model is?  I see six screws!

Ring?  No fuz mod, the only mod I did was I removed the cotton and the black cloth.

I was going to do the diy cable mod but I lost interest. I just enjoy listening to music more than any mods.

Yup, those ship with the HE-560 and HE-400I. They are supposed the make a better seal with the earpads, improve bass/sound!

Well I definitely NEED them.  Like, I`m going to cancel my health insurance and buy a set.   And my HE-6 are 6-hole, not 4, so I`m guessing/hoping/praying these will work. . .

They`re only 10$, so I just ordered.  I`ll report back on the results with the HE-6 soon. Like, if they don`t fit, I`ll have some really cool earrings for my girlfriend !
