Take my word as a grain of salt because everyone has different sibilance tolerance, but I've never found the and still am not finding the stock H10 pairing to be very good with HE-560 without EQ in the upper mids. The V5 single op amps was a tipping point for me to fall in love without any EQ. I have focus pads though, no idea about focus-a pads, never got a chance to try them. For me, V5 singles make a whole world of difference. Stock H10 and HE-560 sounds pretty harsh to my ears without EQ. If anyone has a stock H10 and loving them still, I highly recommend V5 singles to go with. I am not promoting Burson in any way, but when it comes to HE-560, their op amps make a noticeable difference.

what's that schiit on top of the LC?  The width is the same with the LC, one thing I don't like on the LC is the width..it's not half rack size

The sibilance issue is a curious one as it perfectly shows how we hear differently. I can clearly hear the spike on plenty of recordings with both the HE560 as well as the HE1000 [to a slightly smaller degree].
The graph also clealy shows it.
I was able to tame it a bit in both cases but never really eliminate it.
This will certainly depend to a large degree on your age [ie. hearing decline], recordings, etc.
I find it an interesting house sound trait though...

Wow considering the price they were selling for, I would have loved one! Seems like they are no longer selling it? The other Cavellis are way outside of my budget sadly.

I think Cavalli Audio is at least seriously considering doing a second run of Liquid Carbons.

Any significant difference in SQ and other hardware features between new plug version and old screw in version?
Have they rectified the rattle issue in this driver?
If so 200USD difference in price worth paying.

@Koolpep, did you get to take of the rings/grill to look at the drivers?

Haven't seen anyone with a comparison between old SMC and new 2.5mm yet for the HE-560.

The HE-400i has some SQ differences due to the removal of the mounting frame from the driver, those that have listened to both say that the new version is like the old with the grill mod, better soundstage, smoother highs and no ringing.

Really? I recall reading guys that had both saying no differences were worth worrying about the changes, sonically. Maybe I miss remember.

There was a separate thread on it (sorry a little buzzed, drinking wine w/ GF for the last 10 hours) back in Dec-Jan when they had the $300 sale and many were getting the new connectors and then started to compare the drivers.

An update on my impressions with the mojo/560. I have a Magni/Modi 1 stack as well. Listening to the m&m stack does give better bass presence and control than the mojo to my ears. I guess that is the power. Details are not as good and dynamics are much better on mojo. Also, mojo is more musical, but that makes sense as the mojo is in a difference class than the m&m stack imo. However, soundstage wise there is a very large improvement going to the m&m stack. Outside of head feeling for sure, more open and spacious definitely. The mojo feels very closed in and flat in comparison. Again. I am guessing this is because the mojo just does not have the juice to really make the 560s come alive.

Next: I need to look for a high powered amp/dac unit that brings the musicality and dynamics of the mojo while providing the power it wants. Any idea? Micro iDSD?

For around $300 you can get a Wolfson based Audio-GD DAC/AMP that will output 1-2w per ch on the HE560's 50ohm impedance. The DAC is excellent, Wolfson house sound plays well to the he560's signature.

Edit: you'll have to find the NFB-15 or variant used, they're discontinued. Balanced version is available however for $630 shipped
