I wonder if they could have offered those Teak cups as an option, at least until they ran out. What else are they going to use them for? Woodied he400i?

Welp, I just bought a Compass 2 as an upgrade from my Mstage in preparation for the 560... I'll make sure to test it with my other headphones as there'll be some time till the 560 arrive.
It'll certainly power the 560 a lot better as it outputs around 3w@32ohms, whereas the Mstage does around 0.5w...
It's the highest single-ended ESS tier A-GD offers at least

Im sorry if this has been asked and answered here already but firstly is the 560 now shipping with a balanced cable included? Also does it use the same connectors as the old HE models?

No clue about the balanced cable...  I believe the connectors haven't changed though.  Don't quote me on that though.

I think you may have to buy the balanced cable separately.  "We are planning to release a cable with 4-pin XLR connector as an accessory. It should be available shortly after we start delivering the headphone."  That was taken from the Hifiman rep's post a few days ago.

Based on the preorder I got, it uses the same HFM connectors to a ¼" jack.

Hey Mshenay,

Before, you said you prefered the Audio GD NFB 15.32 to the M-Stage. I'm hoping to get a HifiMAN HE-400i eventually and so I'll be needing an amp and DAC and I'm wondering why you preferred to Audio GD unit. What are your thoughts and comparisons the two? If anyone else has tried the two or either of them, what are your thoughts? Thanks!

Thanks, I got a good feeling about this :)
I'll do some A-B with the Mstage if I still have it by then

So starting tomorrow there should be a stream of information about the finalized HE560s coming from attendees at the Newport show, hopefully.

And more substantial HE400i information too, perhaps?
