Is there a post from you in this thread that doesn't have ...337... in it?  You must be missing it badly.

Hifimanrookie, you shouldn't have sold your evil world dominating 337! (opening another can of worms).

Anyway, got no electricity in the house so can't power up the 339 and the He500 : ( (Welcome to Indonesia).  I am sitting in starbucks drinking crappy coffee and listening to some old tunes.  I can only wish I was drinking scotch and the He500 was on my head.

Sorry, going off topic here, but what does everyone think of the Bottlehead crack? Worth looking into with a He500 or even a LCD2?

the worm can will never be closed ever concerning that amp...so dont worry about it..

and u know what worst part is...since i sold it i went to a couple of audio shops selling 'high end' audio stuff..and i tried a couple of headphone amps (also plus 1000euro!) and somehow they miss something somewhere compared to the amp i had...cant put my finger on it... maybe it was my choice of tubes or the modifications (made in the past) what made him so different/special sounding..dont know..i am starting to believe that amp was playing way above its pricepoint (paired with the he500 ofcourse)...
2 days ago i bumped into the initial owner and asked him about the mods to the amp again and he said he spend several hundreds of euros on the mods before he was happy...

but good news..AND NOW SOMEBODY IS GETTING NERVOUS..lolz...as my friend is going on a long businesstrip soon for at least 2 months and because me acting sad all the time about not having my amp anymore, he told me i could pick it up next weekend and use it until he is back...THATS A GOOD FRIEND!!

ps..u see no mentioning the 3 numbers... okay i will use the EVIL ONE. is that okay?

Just purchased a Bakoon Products HDA-5210mk3. It's gonna take probably two or three weeks to arrive but I'll be sure to post my impressions with the HE-500. Can't wait!

Who knows?  It could be true.
For me, on the other hand, Decware would never be able to stuff the Emotiva into my incoming taboo.  "on the bench" baby, it will be soon.
If this $2k amp won't beat my Emotiva by much, I'll be pissed and will crown the Mini-X king of the ghetto hill.

I predict you're going to love the Taboo, and then become a tube fiend.

Just got the bifrost uber to go with my lyr good tubes and he 500 holy schiit what great sound this hobby never ends

Congrats! Once you find the right tubes, the Lyr and HE500 have tremendous synergy, IMO.

I used to drive my HE500's with a 26wpc vintage Marantz and thought this is as good as it gets. Then I rolled a pair of '59 Bugle Boys into the Lyr and I haven't listened to the Marantz (or even my HD650's) in well over a month.

Who knows? Might be having a headphone/tube sale soon

Who here wears spectacles?  I have plastic frames and damn they don't half dig into the bit above my ears, both sides become sore very quickly and i'm taking them off and putting them back on, over n over.  Any tips other than change the glasses frame and rotate the cup?

...I also wear glasses and really the only option is to get new glasses with thinner cross-section (vertical thickness doesn't matter), if you want comfort with large headphones without some weird hack, like slicing grooves in the earpads or something crazy like that.
