Is that the V2 or Ocean?I get great sound using the Bravo tube amp. Very detailed and soundstage is excellent.
I've seen vintage speaker amp mentioned now so many times that I finally had to try it myself. I hooked my HE400 to my AKAI receiver amps speaker taps... Amazing I must say! Sound is just so rich, big and full! Even my desktop headphone amp can't deliver sound like this with HE400.Cheers guys!
So has anyone determined what thickness of Sorbothane to use? 30, 40, 50, 70? I tried to read thorough the thread and find all are being used? Can someone clarify which was the best results and how much was used?
Thank you.
Hello Richard. I took the plunge and ordered a 3x3 sorbathane sheet rated at 70D for the HE-400's. Here's the link. When I get the sheet can I contact you to guide me on how to attach the sorbathane? I would be much grateful!
Thanks,
Chris

There is a little plastic ring that you get a finger nail behind and it will pop out.How could you remove those grills?
I installed sorb this way, results are very good. First I only installed sorb to boarders, but later tried some sorb on centre plastic aswell. That made great improvements aswell, for example soundstage surprisingly expanded, very nice.
