They also don't sound like $150 headphones, not even close. I'm sure you're right that the price will fall though, that happens with most headphones after they've been out for a while

You didn't burn them in enough. Sound quality is in the $700+ range to me, they scale very well.

I meant that they sound much better than $150 headphones, but I see how I misworded it, so I've updated my previous comment

WhatvI feel is not publicized enough,
is how these units actually squeeze a massive 50mm driver inside!
Giving a rather large wall of sound,
and making bass extension effortless.
The actual amount is not bassy, only extended, which is a bit surprising given its large size.
It seems to have an airy-ness of a grado, with a mostly linear extended bass.

Yeah, the driver size is impressive for portable headphones this compact. A lot of portable headphones only have a 40mm driver, so while there are obviously other factors in producing good sound, that does give the Edition S a leg up

i have bit larger than normal head, will edition S be comfortable for me?

currently i have not so much issues with Grado sr225e headphone or the Fidelio X2, however X2 is bit heavy for me.

my main reason for buy edition S is to replace my X2 for gaming(since X2 is bit heavy) being great sounding is a plus too.

im hoping the Edition S sounds similar to Grado sound(which is my preferred sound signature) and also great for gaming too..is this the right choice?

will appreciate for any help

For Gaming I would think about the Sony MA900 or the DT880 as well.
The MA900 are like 195 grams which is almost half from the X2 at 380 grams. The DT880 will be better than the sonys in terms of technical ability for music and smoother sound.

im sure your recommendations are good, however im looking for a headphone that can work with V-MODA Boompro mic, so it should have 3.5mm connector.

i already found many other headphones  that suit my need, but im looking for something i can enjoy music with it too and not just gaming.

anyway..thanks for the reply

How do these (when open) stack up to he-350

if i remember correctly both are dynamic drivers of 50mm?

I have not heard 350s but read the bass is lacking somewhat

Haven't heard the HE-350, but the Edition S certainly aren't lacking in bass
