Will be $349 in 18 months so do hold your breath, a lot of HE-560 early adopters still can't sit no more due to Hifiman's price policy.
+1
HEX v2 can now be found officially from hifiman for 899$

I like to hear more comparisons also, I've been wanting the HEXv2's for a long time now & they have many very positive reviews that's what I'm going by..enjoy

Headband is an aesthetic issue for me but it can't swivel anymore like the HEX so that might be an issue. Comparison is with the HEX V2. But yeah, Ananda is better and cheaper. Sharper with tighter bass and vocals placed correctly making everything more coherent.

My setup is Mimby with Garage1217's Project Horizon III tube amp.

The Mimby is seriously restricting the soundstage and separation of the ED X

All matter quality of amps, source, quality of all cables, power strip filter etc...everyone know it if someone try it of course . And with speaker it is more obvious. Disadvantage a lot of time to put and trying, synergy...

No kidding. I'm asking if the Mimby really does seriously restrict the soundstage and separation of the HEX. I've actually tried it with a CMA600i and a number of relatively expensive portable DACs/amps and did not find this to be true. Do others agree that it is?

Compared to which DAC? There are better DACs and if compared them, then yes. But no way Mimby is lacking in soundstage. Depth and layering is very good for the price.

When I tried CMA600i, I used it as both DAC and amp, so I don't know which contributes more to the SQ. CMA600i soundstage feels flat and boring to me, even though separation is good.

First the Sundara and now this? Could HiFiMAN be slowly returning to it's price/performance glory :O?
