Why is the Massdrop AP60 Pro player (and complaints about its shipping date, etc.) being discussed in this thread?

As an owner of the AP60ii with its AK4452VN DAC, why am I reading about the AP60 Pro with its Sabre ESS9118C DAC? Yes, the form factor is very, very similar, but shouldn't the travails and hopefully imminent joys of the AP60 Pro, a separate and distinct model, be discussed in its own dedicated thread and not here?

No worries! I sympathize with the frustration people are feeling about the Massdrop ship-date. Hope they arrive soon, and that people enjoy the AP60 Pro as much as I've enjoyed the AP60ii.

It just should probably have it's own thread.

Does anyone know why Hidizs increased the price for the ap60ii on amazon? Last week it was £99, now it's £110. Only £10 I know but that's a few cd's in my book.

Can anyone with the ap60ii tell me how the shuffle feature works?

On the first ap60, shuffle was literally the exact same every single time. If you start with song 5, it'll go 5 - 10 - 20 -100 -8, etc. You start with song 5 again, and it'll do the exact same order. Also, "resume" never worked if I killed the power, so I was always having to start fresh. Since i listen to 99% of my music on shuffle at the gym this got very old.

On my mkII the shuffle feature isn't perfect, but it doesn't seem to be as bad as yours.
It will (intermittently) repeat songs instead of running once through all of them before repeating. This usually isn't an issue as I have several hundred songs on my Gym mix.

Just a bit of an ot to share my experience with HIDIZS.

Seems like I am having a hard time getting my prize from HIDIZS' raffle last February of this year. Oh DH1000 where are you now...

Tried contacting hidizs via facebook, here on headfi and on their email support but with no luck. Sad..

Don't be surprised if you never hear from them. They still owe me compensation for WORK I did for them over a year ago (work that they still use to this very day on their website). Unfortunately it seems that Hidizs is incredibly unreliable and totally lacks any form of integrity.
