Just wondering what battery life is like with you guys on the RS6? I don't have a much time with it, but in the last month the battery seems to be taking a dip? I turned off wifi/BT, and use Low Gain, even still, through the 4.4 balanced, I'm getting a dip of about 10% every 30 minutes, with low volumes (10-25) on IEMs.

You may want to also optimize your battery life by setting the charge limiter to 80%, although I don't know if they will address your 10% dip / 30 minutes issue, just considered a good practice with lithium batteries.

Thank you. That is a good point. Mostly because it's an older device that is nearing 2 years old already.

Battery life is my only real complaint with this DAP. I’ve had mine nearly 1 year and I typically get 5-6 hours. This hasn’t really changed that I’ve noticed, but then I’m also not a heavy user of it.

Seems like if you’re getting about 5 hours from a 2year old device, that’s not bad?

Sounds like you need the RS6 MAX

Yes I don’t get good battery life at all anymore. I’ve had mine since it was available in the US and my battery would probably not even last 5 hours.

If you have this, can you comment on the sond mod?
RS6 is my my favourite portable DAP of all time, keen to get this mod if it improves on its dynamics.

Unfortunately it's not mine, I should stay off the forum as it makes me want to buy daps i've either previously owned or not even thought about owning 😂 I have a few of their ibasso amp mods that i couldn't live without.

Very interesting! I’m not worried at all about battery life on my RS6, it is perfectly acceptable as it is, but now I’m intrigued by the Opamp mods…

I can't say I'm glad, but I am relieved to see that others have about the same battery life. I sold my iBasso DX240 simply because I liked the feel of the RS6 in my hand better. The sound was very similar with maybe a bit more soundstage on the RS6. But the battery life on the more powerful dx240 was still amazing. I could easily get 8 hours out of the stronger 4.4mm amp module.
No regrets though. The sound from the RS6 is amazing.

I've had more usage of my RS6 than any other DAP I own. It form and UI and tonality has made it my new reference. This is what I expect a modern DAP to be able to do.

RS8 is a indeed a leap over RS6 but I can't say necessiarly it is better as what we gain in RS8 in terms of soundstage, we loss the vocal warmth and intimacy we hear on RS6.
