sure, but one that will mostly work with any device.
As long as manufacturers aren't diving into native Roon Support such as FIIO is doing that solution is the most stable one.
I am personally using Roon only at home anyway, so a half-stationary solution is ok for example for bedside and outside UApp is my way to go with any DAP
So is UAPP the best option even over the native device players like the Hiby player and Mango app on iBasso (android mode)?
I thought most DAPs like these bypassed the android system with thier native apps?

I think you cannot generalize.
For the Hiby Players you have system wide MSEB, etc. anyway.
As you are saying the native players of each manufacturer platform have their own fan group and also tuning properties.
If not using Roon AI-engine at home I am also using the AI engines of native streaming platforms to discover new music.
Hardcore audiophilists will stay away from streaming and only play from SD card and use either the mentioned manufacturer players because of their preferred flavor or even go into technical specialist apps like Neutron and try out specific upsampling and dithering engines etc.
I've always found UApp class leading as a generic platform merging both streaming (Qobuz and Tidal) and local library playback with top notch interface and tuning engines (like Tonebooster plugin) and am feeling at home no matter which DAP I am switching to

Same, nothing inherently wrong with native apps, but I like that I can use UAPP access multiple Android DAPs and my phone and the UX is both familiar and world class. YMMV of course.
I got to say I’m quite impressed with the amplification stage - it’s quite meaty and can happily drive an HD800s - it beats my Dangerous Music Source desktop head outs, it’s more open wider larger with more bass. I have to wonder how their class A RS8 sounds..
RS8 class A and A/B sound identical to me for IEM usage.
What makes RS8 magical is how they tuned it. It is far from neutral, but to my ears it is the perfect sound. It is able to capture and reproduce soundstage like no other IEM.

I consider Fiio M17/LPGT neutral, analytical. RS8 seems to expand the soundstage is all music that it is played, arguably changing the sound, in my opinion for the better.
