Thanks @Joe Bloggs. Shall we post screen shots here to assist HiBy in troubleshooting? So fellow users with the new issue trying to use USB DAC mode:
Firstly, these changes to the USB situation are centred around the addition of the MQA USB HID feature, which I gather is about letting the computer know what the device is doing with MQA signals. Not saying this is the cause, as we probably just faffed up the implementation this time around, but just explaining what's going on as it were.
Secondly, there firstly is a debugging app for this in the Windows system you can download and install here:
https://www.uwe-sieber.de/usbtreeview_e.html#download
When this is running, connect up the RS6, set it to USB audio input, and take screenshots of the tree view before and after. Thanks. As this is currently a case of "works for us" over at HiBy HQ.
Cheers,
Joe

While I appreciate the fact that adding MQA USB HID features could foul up the USB Driver for using the RS6 as a DAC - I'm wondering how that would cause the "USB debugging" to be switched ON, every time my RS6 is powered ON? See my updated post above.
On my Linux PC, when connecting the USB cable to the RS6 (after switching OFF the "USB debugging" in Developer Options), I see these errors in the dmesg output:
.
david@i7-3930K:~$ sudo dmesg | grep -i usb
[194873.051967] usb 6-1: new SuperSpeed USB device number 39 using xhci_hcd
[194873.076095] usb 6-1: config 1 has 2 interfaces, different from the descriptor's value: 3
[194873.078594] usb 6-1: New USB device found, idVendor=32bb, idProduct=0004, bcdDevice= 4.04
[194873.078603] usb 6-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
[194873.078607] usb 6-1: Product: HiBy RS6
[194873.078622] usb 6-1: Manufacturer: HiBy
[194873.078625] usb 6-1: SerialNumber: ?
[194873.079658] usb 6-1: can't set config #1, error -32
The slightly annoying thing to me, is that I'm philosophically opposed to MQA, and if the RS6 didn't have it, with the developers tinkering with the USB Driver for it - we probably wouldn't be seeing this break in the USB DAC functionality.

Here are my 2 screenshots. 1st is USBTreeView without RS6 connected. Second is with RS6 connected to exactly the same USB Port that worked with prior firmware 1.30 but is now showing error message (Device has problem Code 43 (failed post start):

@DBaldock9 Hi I see that you own the Zishan AK4497. Although it's not on the same "league", how would you compare the Zishan with AK4497 you own with the Hiby RS6?
I have a Zishan with AK4499, I'm curious how much of an "upgrade" it would be. I had the lucky chance to listen to a R2R CD player once and the black background along with great tonality blown me away (it sounded analog for me). That was a long time before I got my zishan AK4499, where after modding, I also perceive a wonderfully black background with great tonality (it also sounded analog for me). I'm contemplating upgrading to Hiby RS6, what are your thoughts on this?

Ok so regarding the USB DAC issue, thanks to you guys' uploads we have found the bug and the fix will be in the next update which is coming soon. For now the workaround (if it's available to you) is to use a USB2 instead of a USB3 port...

Great news, thanks for the update @Joe Bloggs! Hopefully the corrected firmware update will be available soon as I don't have an accessible USB2. Looking forward to the fix!

@WDitters I know you've yet sold your RS6 but have you tried it with your Denon AH-D9200 before?
How did you like that combo?
I know the Denons are quite sensitive, so RS6 could fully drive them to their full potential?
Thx

It was a superb pairing.. The RS6 has no issues driving the 9200

It's 9:13 PM, a long weekend. Laying on my bed, my room is around 19 degrees Celsius. Not too warm, but cold enough for me to feel it.
I've plugged in the new Dita PPT to RS6 after a week of spending with N8ii.
I downloaded @Joe Bloggs crossfeed plugin and played my Roberta Flack playlist. "Who needs a heater when you have good music to warm my soul?"
I haven't enjoyed music this much in a long whileo
I hope Hiby doesn't give up on Darwin, which has enormous potential.

I’ve tried using the convolution plugin with some filters from Audeze for LCD-5 and just end up getting silenced when the plugin is loaded. Any thoughts? I’ve tried uninstalling the plugin reseting and reinstalling but no luck. It’s a little different from clicks as other has experienced but haven’t really seen any other solutions.

I've been doing lot of comparing RS6 with the Mojo 2 - as much as I like the Mojo 2 the RS6 blows my mind at certain times - I just got some high quality digitised vinyl (Prince) which was digitised on a wild high end setup (where just the deck cartridge costs more than the RS6) - the RS6 just takes what is a fantastically recorded warm, dynamic record and turns it up to 11 in such a ballsy manner. The Mojo 2 can't quite fully escape it's digital world, the RS6 simply unleashes. It scales extremely well with high quality records.
I am hoping Hiby will give us some more love with software improvements and features (like global parametric eq or better darwin stuff)

Tried connecting my RS6 to a USB-2.0 port on my desktop PC, and the USB DAC function is working.
Looking forward to the next firmware update.
Is it possible to roll back the firmware to an earlier version? Or a flashing with an earlier version?
