Then it seems to be a problem with your card, especially if you try it with a more modern device like an Android phone from the last few years if you have one of those? On other devices like my modded ipod classic also no go.

I use a Sandisk 1 tb MicroSD card and it works well with the RS2.Is there a list of compatible SDXC cards for RS2? Hiby keeps silent when I ask them and I already tried Sandisk Ultra 512Gb and they are not compatible with RS2.
No. No Android devices around me. Either there is a lroblrm with the cards or player. I just got Samsung Evo blue 512Gb and they work well with my modded iPod Classic so I will try this one with RS2.

Hi guys,
The RS2 is a power dual SD card music player, but in the event that you use two cards full of music (and not all the music is hi-res), the track count might get a little too much for this little player to handle. Here's one way to get around this effectively:

I need to know which 2Tb SDXC cards work for sure with RS2. Can you guys share a word on it?

The advantage of this player is that you have two SD card slots available. 2tb sd cards are not available on the consumer market yet, the maximum capacity as of now you can buy is 1tb for one SD card. But what you can do with this player is buy two separate SD cards of 1tb capacity each and have 2tb storage available. Other players, which only have one SD card slot, can offer 1tb storage maximum now. In the near future, 2tb sd cards should become available, but that is still a few years from now.I need to know which 2Tb SDXC cards work for sure with RS2. Can you guys share a word on it?

I was responding specifically to the question about storage. Personally, I also have this player because of its non-distractive approach with local-only playback and a very usefully long-battery life compared to Android-based DAPs, because I use the player while on the road and can get several days with multi-hour listening with it easy. There are other advantages, like highly customizable sound profiles (warmness/coldness of the sound, etc.), sure. And this is the only advantage!?
Micron have 1.5TB card.
Wonder if anyone has tried 2 of these in this player - probably too cost restrictive

Just updated to firmware v1.1.
When trying to play an album selected through Artist>Album it now plays the tracks in alphabetical order not album order - What!
Am I missing a setting?
Edit:
Album artist has no scroll bar and then lists the all tracks for the artist in album order for all albums of that artist
Did anybody test this firmware?
Edit 2:
Gone back to an old firmware!

Have you tried pressing the usual button that toggles between listing albums and listing songs, if that exists under album artist?Just updated to firmware v1.1.

I don't recall tbh and have now rolled back.Have you tried pressing the usual button that toggles between listing albums and listing songs, if that exists under album artist?
Not having scroll would make album artist painful to use. When I first started tagging files many years ago I got into the habit of copying album artist into track artist field to get around software issues, so was happily using prior firmware without a problem.

I made it through the first third of the thread but still have no idea how MQA and Tidal are supported since there is no connectivity. Mine should arrive tomorrow but I don't see a shipping notice.
Online is not supported, but MQA recordings can be downloaded to the card and listened to. You can connect the player via USB and listen to the stream.I made it through the first third of the thread but still have no idea how MQA and Tidal are supported since there is no connectivity.
