HiBy RS2: dual card slots, Darwin R2R, FIR, NOS, MQA 8x--news and impressions thread

Has anybody had any luck with the Recently Added list included on the RS2 by default? Seems like this never populates with anything for me. I would love it if this showed my most recently added songs, which I imagine is what this is supposed to do but doesn't seem to work at all. On firmware version 1.06.
Have you done library scan(s)?

I don't know when this article came out, but in it I found a description of the Darwin filters and an announcement of an update to version V2.
yes, and I am working with the team to bring this out.

Yes. Everything shows up if I navigate to it, but I'm talking specifically about the Recently Added playlist that is in the RS2 by default. It never populates.

Hello. Can someone share the firmware file version 1.1? I can not download from the site, there is no access.
I don't know what is happening with this, I was able to download this myself from the site without any login (making sure that I was logged out). On the other hand, this was from a computer. If I clicked on it via mobile, on the facebook app, it does end up with an error. If you don't have a computer handy, I would recommend asking facebook to "open [the website] in browser" for it to work.

I can't download the firmware from the Hiby site. More precisely with Google Drive. Hiby closed access to download. Recently, their actions towards users are surprising.

I've just received word from headquarters, that the update had to be cancelled for reasons not related to bugs. I will be making an announcement regarding this shortly.

not related to bugs !
How intriguing ...
What of those of us who installed it - will there be non bug related repercussions ?

I'm afraid we'd have to keep being intrigued by this one, as HiBy are simply having to re-release the update eta. 20 August. Forget what I said above. Or not, I'm not going to field questions about it either way, sorry. I can say that there won't be "non bug related repercussions" for users.

If in the meantime you would like to downgrade:
1. Factory reset your RS2 on its current firmware;
2. Download and place the old firmware onto the root directory of your SD card in the RS2;
3. Go to Settings->Firmware Update->Local update
4. Tap to check "also delete user data (playlists etc.)"
5. Confirm that battery level is sufficient, tap the update button, wait for the operation to finish and the device to reboot.

(1) and (4) are useful for ensuring that the device won't e.g. be confused by an internal settings file that's in a newer format than the old firmware can understand.

Would someone please enlighten me if there is any noticeable latency (audio lag) when using in USB DAC Mode and watching videos on your PC? I have read in one review that there is zero delay but then have seen reports that there is delay.
There is latency, it is slightly configured by drivers and depends on the computer.
