Hey, same problem here. While this R6 pro is a good device overall, not being able to better fine-tune the volume is annoying.Sorry I didn't make myself clear, when at say vol. 28 not loud enuff at vol. 29 to loud. I was wondering if they could add half steps say vol. 28.5
Any solution for this? Is it firmware related?
Thank you
Try switch to Low Gain.Hey, same problem here. While this R6 pro is a good device overall, not being able to better fine-tune the volume is annoying.

@gLer I'm already using low gain which doesn't make a big difference with high gain by the way

I quote myself but I found a solution... go in EQ, make it active and then you have a slider on the left "AMP", I slide it all the way down at -12dB.Hey, same problem here. While this R6 pro is a good device overall, not being able to better fine-tune the volume is annoying.

This way I can turn up/down volume very precisely!
Anyone else having issues with Amazon Music HD no longer working past 48K? It used to say 192K in the status bar when music was playing but now only 48K and the Device Capability in the app only shows "24-bit / 48 KHz" too. App version is 16.17.4.

You can roll back to 16.16.1 which is the last version that worked. Hopefully Amazon will fix this... It affects multiple devices, not just R6.

Anyone having issues with the new version of the Hiby App crashing? 1.52 is crashing constantly. The other version was extremely stable. Thanks in advance.

It may be something to do with the update inheriting app data in an incorrect way. Try clearing app data in device settings and rescanning your music.Anyone having issues with the new version of the Hiby App crashing? 1.52 is crashing constantly. In other news, has anyone looked at the newish convolver function on your player? https://www.head-fi.org/threads/r5-a-new-android-dap-by-hiby.912566/post-15892903

I am trying out the convolver function but I am getting clicks maybe 3-4 times per second when the convolver is turned on. I am using the autoeq for Ety ER4XR file (Etymotic ER4XR minimum phase 44100Hz.wav). I have tried others as well and the clicking remains. Note that your example file "clear&vivid" works fine. Shouldn't the correction filters work as well? This is on my R6 Pro SS.
Edit - I just checked and it also happens on my R5.

I'd just documented this bug in an update to the article--currently the convolver bugs up like this if the impulse is pushed up all the way to the first sample like these correction impulses are. I've padded the beginning with some zero samples to work around the issue for you: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AtuiwfIBRYFEgfYOrYDFt9S38Jq2hw?e=wtXwF8
Btw, the example "clear & vivid" is not an EQ but a spatialization impulse as described in the section on 4-way impulses. How did you like it?
Cheers,
Joe

I'm not good with the right words to describe soundstage, but it was noticeably wider sounding. I also felt like I could pinpoint instruments in space to a much larger degree. I liked it and was planning to combine with a correction filter using your instructions. I have several IEMs but the Etys seemed like a good place to start as I believe they are the farthest from the Harman curve. I have generally not used EQ in the past (preferring bitperfect), so this is all new to me. I do wish there was a way to combine system-wide PEQ/convolver with high resolution and bitperfect/MQA, if only for IEM correction.

How many samples did you add? I'm interested to try this out too. Also, the 44100 file has no affect with AmazonMusicHD 44.1KHz files without unchecking 'Other sample rate bypass'. Presumably we need a 192k version to match what's reported in the status bar?

For now I add 100 samples of silence to the 44100Hz files from autoEQ.16.18.0 seems to be working as expected again.

The convolver only works at 44.1kHz natively.
