Hi there, I've got a propblem with balanced output. Namely, if you move 2.5 jack slightly from side to side, the sound in the left channel disappears.
It's not because of cable or jack. I've tried two different ones - it is exactly the same.

Could it be the -L of the trrs 2.5mm touching the SS body.
Could it be that?

Maybe it is so. But what's the way of solving this problem? Can you give me any hint of how to fix it, please?
I think it's smthn simple - bad soldering or smth of the kind.
If the player had any screws, that'd not be any problem. Unscrew - fix - screw back.
I just don't feel like unglueing the screen with fan (I never do it and I have no idea of how to do it).

Try insulating the chassis by say using a bit of tape around the headphone socket and see if that stops the cutout

You mean I should "wrap", so to say, the socket to insulate it?
Thanks, I'll try to do it!

Just place some tape over the R6 socket outlet and make a hole for the heapone plug to go in.
that should place an insulation layer around the socket entrance.

I suspect its touching the SS chassis around the socket when you lean it over.

You need to insulate the area around the socket entrance so it does not touch.

Not sure below is available.
There is also a 2.5mm pad you can buy to place on the plug
Do a google for "2.5 mm insulating seals for balance plug"

MSEB is the other main reason I got this DAP. It is absolutely wonderful!
I’m clueless about MSEB. What is it? Everyone seems to love it.

Its Hiby's alternative styled equaliser.

So rather than slider of band adjustments they give you descriptive slider with adjustments.

I think the adjustments would be say for "bass texture" and adjust from Flat to thumpy.

It would have bandwidth and curve adjusted for that setting.

Not had the pleasure to try it but it sounds like they have hit the mark.

The nearest thing I have tried is Neutrons equaliser settings.

You can adjust the slider settings on Neutron. Gain, band and curve etc

Thanks. Can’t wait until I FINALLY get mine so I can give it a try.
