I've sent them an email and they're on a company trip. Will only be back on 1st july.

I can't be 100% certain that i included the tray when sending them the unit but just in case they reject my request, then i have to find a new tray which is compatible with the r6.
That is true (about the company trip). But I'm sure we have plenty of spare trays lying around whether or not you sent yours in. If you're sure you forgot it on your side, you can always pay us postage for the new tray

Hey guys.
Just decided to move from 3.5mm to balanced 2.5
Bought a cheap'ish **** cable to try.
A little bassy for me but my concern is wifi interference streaming Qobuz. (Only in right ear)
Searching I see others have noticed this.
I was wondering if a fix was found?

I'm using the **** to my Noble Kaiser Encore.
Qobuz or UAP
Pretty sure connection is 2.4ghz to my router (Don't know how to switch to 5ghz yet)

Before I decide whether to stick with balanced and buy a better cable I'd like to know if it's fixable?
Or whether it's got to back to Hiby?

Cheers!

It might go away if you switch to 5GHz WiFi.

Thank you.
I'll try that when I return home.
I'm not sure how to do that tbh, won't take me long to learn mind.
However, if I'm out connecting to a free hotspot/wifi, or at a friend's house I'm guessing it will revert to 2.4ghz, is that correct?

If that is the case the problem will return, any permanent fix other than switching back to single ended ?
Something I shouldn't have to do surely!

Sending it in to us should fix it

Hi everyone.

I'm wondering if this is an oddity with my R6, or just the way it's designed. When I plug in Coax out to any device (mojo mainly, but tested with others as well) I get a very loud pop when I hit play after it's been paused. Didn't bother me much before due to using over ear headphones. Now that i'm using IEMs with it, however, it is rather painful at times. If it's just how the unit works, I'll make sure to not have them in when I hit play. Just wondering if anyone else that owns one experiences the same behavior?

(And just to report back, battery issue is most definitely resolved for me. I haven't had a single problem since fixing the permissions.)

If it's related to the output signal of the R6, the pop volume should scale with the volume setting of the downstream device (e.g. Mojo). Does it?

It only does it in coax mode. It won't do it in any other mode and only does it when starting to play music. I notice that if I leave the unit on with no music going through it for a minute or two (when I'm on a call at work usually) it sounds like it turns the coax signal off (a softer pop). When I then start music again it does it again. If i only leave it paused for a few seconds, it's fine. I've tested with other devices going to the mojo to make sure, and none of them seem to do it. (With the same coax cable as well just to rule it out.) Guessing based on sound and the behavior, does the coax output just shut off (or change the voltage going out) after inactivity? It just seems like when the coax turns on for the first time you get a pop, or after a longer period of no music going through it.

The volume does not seem to affect it in any way that I can tell but because it doesn't happen all the time it's hard to tell you that for sure. I only started to notice it when I started using a more sensitive IEM. I used to use this with my Focal Clear's and because they aren't in my ear as closely it was hardly a problem. I've just been hitting play on the music before I put them in just to make sure lately (I'd rather not damage my hearing. I love music far too much for that.) so it's not too much of a problem. Overall I really love the R6.

Either way, I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions.

You're welcome. I'll try to continue investigating the issue.

Are you playing DSD music in DoP or Native by any chance?
