Mainly because I've got the R6 on the way, and from what I hear the R3 doesn't support audiobooks and podcasting out of the box (to be fair, neither does the m0 but they've said they're looking to implement it later on). Also I've found out the hard way that I'm just not up for crowdfunding projects

You are not alone, as said before in this thread it's the not knowing that kills. What really hurts is the fact the indiegogo page isn't updated and still has mine down as March!

My friend(s), I guess you are not used yet to crowdfunding campaigns. It's really better to not wait for it each day.
Know though that you have chosen a really fine device, almost bug free, to the opposite of rival crowdfunded players. In my experience.
And as Hiby has delivered sooner that later until now, I'm sure it wont take many weeks. You recieved a better price to buy it, in the end you'll have made the right choice. Be patient.

Dear all,

Here's the update I can provide regarding shipment currently. Some of this may be old news, e.g. this first part copied over from the last announcement:

As of 29 March 2018--
Stainless steel: up to backer #755
Black aluminium: up to backer #756
Gray auminium: up to backer #817
Expect from a few days up to a week of delay from the beginning of shipping on our end to when tracking numbers become available for us to inform you of. (depending on method used which varies by country, tracking number may only become available when parcel reaches your country.)

Next I'll be detailing why I'm recycling old news. Firstly, each production cycle itself usually takes over a week. So it is usually over a week between adjacent shipments. Well yes it's been over a week now too

So the other thing is that, there had been a minor religious holiday in China. It was the QingMing festival https://www.travelchinaguide.com/essential/holidays/calendar.htm The factory took 3 days off here.

So that's where we are now. I hope we will make the next shipment a big one!

most of my album art is wrong. Even in the same album, one of the songs would have correct art and the other 10 would be wrong. I don’t know how the HiBy is getting the art but it’s a mess.

I can confirm ad is still there when you open hibymusic app. It only pops up when connected to wifi and restarting the app from an exit, if the app is still loaded in the memory it won't show.
For people having album art issues try deleting the album art folder in the hibymusic folder on internal storage.
INTERNAL MEMORY/ HibyMusic/ AlbumArt
This will force the app to fetch the artwork all together.

I know brotha, this album art thing is a mess. @Joe Bloggs makes a slight mention of a fix but we'll see what happens when they push out an update. I showed my girlfriend the shiny new hiby R6 and the first thing she says while digging in is.... "why is the album art all f*cked up?" lol!

She did like the player regardless but damn.....

Question for those playing DSD files, does the equalizer and/or MSEB alter the playback at all?

I'm able to change the tone of FLAC and MP3 but not DSD.
Is this how it's supposed to be?

Hi. I have just checked, same thing, it doesn't change the sound of the DSD on mine.
