hi, i was looking to upgrade my home system, as i am just playing out of my computer at the moment, through my horrible dell speaker.
i was wondering what what amp/dac should i get, as i am planning on buying the dt990 pro's for home use next year.
I was thinking the nuforce icon hdp, but i was wondering whether there was something better at the price, or cheaper, as i don't want to spend much more than $350.
Thanks in advance.

Are you gaming with your beyers? or strictly music?
The essence stx is a good music soundcard, but for gaming you'll need something like a TiHD.

no, my beyer's will solely be music listening, maybe a little movies, like once a week maximum.
I don't really want to invest in a new sound card as, 1, i don't have a desktop, so i go through computers pretty quick, carting the to school and back everyday (my current computer is held together with tape), and, 2, my next computer I will be buying will most likely be a slate, which i can only imagine will be a huge pain to change a sound card in.

Matrix M stage or the Odac/02 amp combo, it depends on the features you want.

The Dac on the M-stage is not as good as the Odac tho.
