as the title states, I cannot find the right file to allow the rockbox installer program to install rockbox.

According to the web page, i need:

Clip +: An original firmware (OF), the bootloader, the normal Rockbox build.

I created a folder on my destop named "rbinstall" and downloaded the bootloaded and normal Rockbox build, and  unzipped them to that folder.

However, when i follow the    original firmware
link I get taken to a sansa web page that just offers an online firmware upgrade. No .bin file to be had.

Using the rockbox installer, it will abort the programming process due to lack of a firmware version ( it is now V01.02.15A )

I did a search in this form before posting this, didn't come up with anything usefull :(

I would love to rockbox this thing.

I can tell the makers of rckbox have put a ton of time and effort into the product, and the fact that it is free is amazing. but the programming and "how to" could definatly use a
"installing rockbox for dummies" section .

Do so!
Asking for such specific help is better suited for their own forum imo.

Thanks for the link, however I was able to find a super easy "how to guide" on anythingbutipods' forum. Much easier than downloading and trying to use the rocbox installer program. Simply downloaded the bootloader and rockbox current build, unzipped them to my sansas root directory, and away we go.

For anyone curious, RockBox is everything it is touted to be. it is simply awesome. My clip may now be my new favorate player. Going to go buy a 32gig card for it today!
