Ugh. no gilded crappy dj phones please. Not to mention I don't think ever met a girl impressed with that type of "bling". Overdoing it imo.

Well I was surprised to see that AudioCubes has the ATH-CKM33 for $50 and in all the colors
http://www.audiocubes.com/product_info.php?cPath=23_30&products_id=2833

Audio Cubes has almost all the new Japanese fashion headphones too.
A girl at work has several pairs of these Mix-Style headphones in different colors to change with her outfits

But still my top suggestion would be the white ATH-ES7.  One really needs to be a fashion trend setter (or obviously a Japanese/Korean girl on holiday) to probably pull off the more fashionable large-styles in Melbourne.
The ES7 is a great balance of fashion (but not too over the top) and sound quality.

For more ES7 enticement here is the official ES7 site

Audio Cubes has them here for 184.22AUD

Thank you very much for the info. I think we'll be buying them from a site here in Australia from which I have had pleasurable transactions from before. They're $147 AU with free shipping. Thanks again

I usually just change my headphones with activity.  Grado 325is when I'm doing something boring at work, Shure SE530s on the go or when there's too much noise.  Senn HD650s to relax in the evening.  Sony XB700s when I lament that living with others meas I can't have a pair of 15" subs in my bedroom.  I sleep in my KSC75s when I can't use speakers.

I've grown a rather extensive collection in the few months I've been hanging out here...

Haha I'm the same. I only signed up in September and have owned so far the DT770 600ohm, HD650, AD900 and Earsonic SM3. I am looking at purchasing an RS1 next. RS1 will be my energetic rock/metal and fun can. HD650 for easy, relaxing listening and my ambient/acoustic music. Most likely night time. SM3s for on the go
and when I am exercising outside.

really? idk if thats cute or silly.

It really is a fashion thing, not really that different to headbands, hair ties, bows or hats.  The "fashion" headphones generally are 2000-5000yen ($20-50) where the sound quality is "average" but probably better than "stock" iPod headphones.  Obviously for someone who listens to Stax, K1000, K701, HD650, RS1... this is silly. But for someone who's only experience with sound quality is an iPod with the stock headphones then these fashion headphones do two things, (1) sound as good as their ipod, and (2) give them a fashion accessory. Spending $100 on several different "headphones" as a way to follow the current Tokyo fashion trend to accessorize an outfit is really no different to buying a new hat.  Hats are really popular here too

I was hesitant to bring this up here since I know this is mainly a guy forum and focused on sound quality, but this thread was about "pretty girl headphones" so I thought I would share this interesting thing about Tokyo girl fashion.  This really is a major fashion trend right now in Tokyo.  This is not just a few crazy girls.  On my train ride into work on any day, I might see a dozen different girls wearing colorful, pretty, decorated headphones as accessories right now. I sometimes even wonder if they have them plugged in and listening to music.  I really can not imagine this happening anywhere other than Tokyo though.  It is really hard to understand the Tokyo street fashion scene though if one does not live here.

For me it is fabulous. I love headphones (see my profile) and I love fashion so right now this is so cool to be living in Tokyo.  It really is headphone heaven here.

I noticed that beach camera has really cheap audio technica.  The problem is that they are cheaper than even the cheapest internet retailers in Japan. Given the strong yen I seriously doubt these are real Audio Technica.  There are many fake audio technica out there and Beach Camera is known to "gray market".
Here are the cheapest prices in Japan for ATH-ES7
http://kakaku.com/item/20461510666/
(10,343yen  with the current exchange rate this would be $128 USD).  So I would say anything less than $128 for ES7 is probably a fake.
I would recommend sticking with your favorite retailer in Australia for $147AU
