Yeah the DT770 80 Ω with the Objective 2. Severely recessed midrange and flobby bass are not qualities of a good-sounding headphone in my book. The mids were almost as bad as the Ultrasone PRO900 but thankfully weren't ssssssssibilantttt.

miceblue, I agree with you, those Beyer's are horrible. It is good to find somebody hear as I hear. I wouldn't put them on the same level as Beats but yeah I agree they are pretty bad.

Sheesh, quit bashing the dt770 lol. Beyers typically need an otl tube system behind them to shine. I know what you mean though, I can hardly stand mine out of mediocre sources. Not saying objective2 is bad, just not right for the dt770

I can (sort of) understanding having two pairs of the same headphone if you really love it - one for home and one for work, or having a backup in case somethng goes wrong. But having more than 2 pairs of the same headphone is just a stupid waste of money.

I'm quite sure most of headfi "wasted" more money than this guy just on cables.

And hey, it just goes to show beats is more of a fashion statement. Maybe it's a girl matching the colors to her clothes...we buy loads of those too in different colors
