Detox Beats, some supra-aural Pioneers, white and red Beats Studio, and some in-ears which I honestly thought looked like FAD IEMs. I could be wrong, though (and no one will plug that on a phone.. will they?).

Last week my guy friend brought his Beats Solo to school. He let me listen to them ... they sounded alright on his iPod touch, he played "Teach Me How to Dougie".. a little muddy though... but then I tried them. with the same song on my Rockboxed Sansa Fuze.... EWWWWWWWW all I heard was BOOM BOOM and I couldn't understand the rappers... the treble was gone... our other friends said they sounded like Heaven and someone almost broke them trying to listen to them lol... But my other friend wanted to try my Sony MDR V6 and was beaming lol.
Two other friends had Airpolution and an unidentifiable pair of headphones.

Usual earbuds, some low end Sennheisers (hd201?) and a few beats.
And some other unknown brand stuff.

A classmate of mine actually has a lower model AT headphone though, that surprised me because he was using Skullcandy headphones before. :p

Surprised you didn't hear the annoying and harsh claps.

Where in Cali did you go?

San Diego and Anaheim. I wasn't really rocking my headphones other than walking around the hotel areas and on the plane so I doubt anyone would've spotted me.

I went to a college fair yesterday. I saw around 3 pairs of Studios, a pair of Creative HQ-1600's, and a pair of Sony V900HD's. Oh, and a dude with pants on his ankles screaming, "Yo, where's MIT dawg?" I know I'm not supposed to generalize, but...

Curious thing yesterday: for one or two stops, in one bus, me with K-512 and girl with K-99 at one door, guy with another K-512 at another door. I felt kind like in AKG advertising. And - also yesterday - guy with K-518 (black I think) - it seems K-518 are quite popular in my city.

I'm surprised you managed to even keep them on your head. I got a splitting headache when I put solos on. Don't ask me how, I just did. To be honest though, after I EQ my HDJ500, they don't sound too far off from Beats "Studio", which are anything but. Except the treble doesn't seem all that piercing and mids aren't exactly recessed. Also more bass extension. So I guess a $300 headphone just got trumped by an $80 dollar one?

Otherwise...Saw some XB300's.
