Headphone Sightings 2

Found a collection of photographs of people working on the props and sets for Blade Runner, back in 1980ish. And lo and behold - wearing the venerable Sennheiser 414 headphones. :)

I'm from Idaho, and when I was in school the only things I saw were cheap IEMs and those awful, garish "beats by dre".

Around here, I guess, it's all about what the TV tells you to buy, rather than what sounds good.

Just spotted a Sennheiser HD800 in a movie, it's called "The con-artist". My dad was watching it, and he said "hey don't you have this headphone too?". So I went to check and yup, it was a Senny HD800! It's around the part where one of the guys cracks a safe. If I looked correctly, the connectors aren't even plugged into the headphone.. But he did wear them correctly, which is a rare sight!

Wow. Saw another pair of ex1000/650s in the wild. Stock cable connected to something in a waistpouch. If you live in SG and was at tampines 1 at around 5.20, I saw you haha

Wow, I think I saw the same guy as well! Maybe you saw me as well, a teenager with a pair of IM50s connected to my modest portable rig of a Fiio X1 and E11K.

Small world we live in.

The guy I saw was middle aged.

You could say I'm somewhat prejudiced :speak_no_evil: if I see someone with IM50s I assume ( yes ass out of you and me ) that they're on the imX0 hype train and disregard them now. Sorry haha. Your rig is somewhat okay la... buay pai can alr la lulz

Anyway I'm going to graduate from the IM50s very soon, moving on to the Custom Art Music One, then I'm probably going to stick to that portable rig for a long time.

Mainly because I got poisoned by the HE-560s and I'm going to save up for ages to get them.

Music One... what sort of music you listen to? Single BAs never satisfy the speed and detail retrieval of my songs

My music library is made up of 60% jazz and blues, 30% soft rock and 10% hard rock, so I would prefer the speed that having a BA would give (better than most dynamic drivers imo). Then when I get home, the Stax rig will satisfy whatever I missed during my commute.

I'd assume

> Stax SRM-323S > Stax SR-307 Lambda

That's got nothing to do with guesswork, that's reading off my signature!:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

In other news, a few more CIEM sightings along the Circle Line, and 2 Momentum On-ears.

Plenty of Shures in London village at the moment, and a glut of Bose, ugh, they must've been selling hard on QVC recently...
