Just saw someone walk by at school while I'm typing up a survey (for research) and he was wearing the Audio technica ATH-ESW11LTD

The second most expensive set of headphones I've seen in the wild besides my own pairs that I've brought around (the most expensive being the LCD2)

Turns out my friend with the V-Moda isn't an audiophile, he just liked the look. Though I did see a kid from my German class today wearing white/orange Sennheiser HD229s, running them from an iPod Nano 4g. I've no clue if he's an audiophile but with a dedicated music player and Sennheisers, it's possible. Does anyone know if the HD229s are sold in stores? (He could just have bought it because he likes the look, like my other friend with the V-Modas.)

I don't really see people with expensive headphones around. Mostly Apple Buds, Beats and Sony headphones. And I'm not yet at a stage where I can successfully identify headphones. But today I saw someone wearing a AKG K518 (limited edition yellow). Not that it is a special sighting or that it's an expensive pair, but at least I was able to identify it.
