I was on the N train today and this guy across of me was grooving to D5000 and reading a newspaper. I snapped a bad pick with my phone

SR80s are very light and (relatively) compact, and I can still hear enough over the music to know if a car is going to run me over when I'm walking or some drunk is throwing a ruckus at the back of the train when on the subway. Total isolation in public creeps me out.

Used to go round with my MS1's.. that lasted about a week.. couldn't stand having my music drowned out and too polite to drown everyone else out by cranking the volume - and destroying my ears/annoying others in the process. The next aural Holy Grail: IEM's with soundstage..

hah!

There's a guy at my work that wears koss ksc75s at his desk. I have a weird feeling though that he knows nothing about headphones and he just picked em cuz they were cheap er sumin.

Another guy wears SONY MDR-7505s again it's a sony which can be found in practically any electronic store so I have a feeling it's the same situation.

Not a bad collection at my small college (we have about 130 students). Sennheiser seems really popular because they're easy to acquire locally (though you deffo wouldn't want to buy the high end ones at local pricing!); counted more than a dozen HD202s, a few HD212 Pros, two HD25-1s (me included

), an HD555, and an HD595, and lots of MX earbuds. Everything else are generics and iBuds. A bit of Skullcandy. HD201s and PX100s are pretty common out on the streets around there.

Saw a pair of grado sr60's, HD555's, px100 and several pionner headphones at uni today (and no, none of them where mine).

Saw a business man with the UE Triple.fi 10 Pro with some funky tips they were like trumpet shape and made of foam and they were red white and blue. His source was just like this pink Sony player that probably had built in USB.
