It seems to be the cool thing at my school/ where I live to wear skullcandys. I havr to fight the urge to rip them off and stomp them to pieces.

I've seen SR-60s on another guy on the same train.

SR-60s on a train is hearing loss in a few years

At least if the train is as noisy as DC's metro

It's not transit like the DC metro but regional commuter rail so its not too loud. I agree, thought, that there's too much ambient to really enjoy SR-60s.

On the bus yesterday, I spotted an youngish looking man wearing the red-colored super-fi.5 pro.

My ER-6i are obvious as all get-out with the cord clipped to my shirt, but most people just assume they're iPod earphones because they are white.

Haven't seen any quality headphones at my high school, but first semester of college, seen k240s, DT770 pro, 2x hd555s. - of course, not a lot of people wear full-sized cans in public... I'm sure there's a ton more I haven't spotted yet =)

At my college bose and skullcandys (especially) are popular, with cheaper sonys and all of them, and of course ibuds. I saw someone with Sennheiser 280pros the day after I got back from Christmas break...funny, since I got some for Christmas, too :p My friend has Grado S80s (without me recommending them) and I just saw a girl with Grado S80s the other day...was very taken back.

They don't look comfy or like they would sound very good. Why would anyone buy these ugly things?

They are rather comfy (The band is completely seperate from your ears) and they don't look too bad, but indeed, they sound like, well, Sony.

chrysoberyl, dreaming doesn't quite count.

I swear to God that I saw her! She was blonde, with huge blue eyes and she was emitting that soft light that you associate normally with angels and Sennheisers!
