Headphone hating

Akg K240's will be pretty good.

If you want to deviate from the Bose sound and graduate to in my opinion, "real audiophile" headphones, you'll be rewarded with incredible depth and clarity.

I like Audio Technica AD700's for all music for under the 100 dollar mark, they come in an open and closed form. Open will give you more extension and detail at the expense of bass impact, the closed will block sound and give you more bass impact. I don't need to feel bass as much as hear it, but to each his own.

Ugh, be careful of using headphone audio to attenuate outer noise.

I'm not a huge IEM person; I generally go for closed headphones in most situations. K272 works pretty well in cutting down outside audio... but it takes up way too much space in a bag. I carried them around for a month in Scotland and Ireland last year during my honeymoon, then for several months in NYC on my daily commute. This is largely why I went out of my way to try the B&W P5.
