I don’t know about you guys but after using TWS since 2017, trying and owning more than a few TWS over the years, I’m no longer that excited about what’s coming next. I just know it’s probably gonna be 10-15% better (if any) than current gen of flagship TWS but nothing crazy. B&O Elven is a good example. If we didn’t have the EX it would have been a great set, yet an absurd price IMO, but since they are based on the EX with software update it’s a dirty play.
Looking forward to see when Sony launches the XM6, if Sennheiser can shrink the darn case, if Bose can finally get it right etc… can’t say I’m super thrilled about the near future and I’m kind of channeling my disposable income to other hobbies until something really nice pops up.

Sounds like a smart swap—AZ100’s practicality definitely wins for travel! Curious to hear your thoughts once you try the PX7 S3; hoping they bring some of that PX8 magic without the price tag!
Initial reviews seem to suggest that but I always take those reviews with a grain of salt and I'll judge for myself. Will report back!

I know it's a step up in price point, but I thought the Beoplay Elevens ($450) offered a full package that was a good as the AZ and had much better sound than the Pi8 ($400) and AZ100 ($300)
I did actually order the elevens but then cancelled it, bit steep and thought I'd wait until their next iteration as very content with the Az100.

My sentiments as well. We are pretty spoilt right now for choice and quality is at an all time high (no comparison to wired but still). I've always tried the WF series so will be interested in the next iteration as well, but I think Technics have really set the bar high for Sony with the az100, in my opinion they now occupy that space the WF once did.

Imagine gold plated, handcrafted XPAN which brings more details, deepens the bass, and widens the stage for only $1999.99... Just like in wired IEM world

;)
XPAN will only get better. 4.2mbps is the current crop. The potential for it to up to 29mbps and up to 192khz is coming in the future. A 5 driver TWS with that is true end game for me

I finally took the plunge on the Technics AZ100s. I really like them. As many of you have said, they're a nice, complete package and I think they sound great! I think they'll be my daily driver until something better comes along that piques my interest. Just as the AZ60s did, they happen to fit my ears REALLY well. There's absolutely zero adjustments needed once I put them in. And I'm even using their stock tips which I rarely if ever do with any other TWS. So yeah, they're very much a set it and forget it type of TWS for me, which is actually a nice relief.

I'm VERY interested in the Rex5 but I absolutely loathe the color. I can't bring myself to purchase them. I have the Mystiques and they fit me great as well. But I like the blue coloring. It may be silly but aesthetics are important to me. All I keep thinking about is the Riddler when I see the Rex5. I guess I'll just have to wait for whatever the next iteration is from Noble because I really do love their stuff. Oh well!

I feel you. Open ears are the most exciting listen at the moment.

The only things on my radar are the new Denons and there is a new Sennheiser stick style tws.

But it doesn't look like Denon has implemented any of the tech they got from the Nura purchase which turned into the PerL Pro. So don't know why they'd even bother releasing another type of bud.

What about the Xm4 and XM5 have you excited for the next iteration?

Yeah, since I got rid of the XM5 and needed a daily driver, I went with the Apple AirPods 4 ANC which is sad since it has never been my direction but the open design with ANC works magically for my needs (office environment and awareness when out and about) and they sound good too.
The XM4 had battery issues after FW update and the buds are big, but the case was solid, voice prompts were useful and the sound was darker. Bad call quality.
The XM5, the case got shrunk but turned out flimsy, no voice prompts, buds are smaller but slide out of the ears easily and are super slippery (and feel cheap too). Sound is more balanced but Sony F it up after their last FW update. ANC was good but only with the original foam tips that were impossible to source. Also, the XM5 had terrible interference when walking downtown.
All in all the Sony flagships were pretty good but not excellent IMO.
Excited to see if they can improve their next gen.

I don't like the color either and dismissed them purely based on the aesthetics. Luckily when it's in your ears the green doesn't show much, mainly the marble part is visible. I wouldn't have bought them otherwise, regardless of how they sounded. If the green part was black, they would have looked amazing as the gold rim would set it off.

1) I wish we could please everyone

2) I wish we had enough inventory to at least please those that like green

I'm hoping they are amazing. I think Beoplay Elevens are the best all-around out there. The sound is just terrific (much better than the AZ 100's and Pi8's IMHO) and has the all round features that the AZ had. (Rex5 still had the best sound, green and all)

B&O Eleven software update available...

Did it a few days ago to mine. Took a while, but so far so good. Nothing special though.

Sadly, I let my Rex5 go. Just couldn't stop them from sliding out of my ears. Tried so many tips, while they worked for a bit, ultimately I clearly suffer from Ear Slippage Syndrome.

I've tried a lot of them too. Now I've stopped at Divinus Velvet Wide Bore and they seem to work great!

Happens to the best of us with the Rex5...
