I’m still rocking mine and with the stock tips that came preinstalled. I work with these in my ears almost 8 hrs a day (ok, sometimes I switch to my mk3s w/adapters or my AirPod pros) with no issues as far as fit is concerned. My only disappointment is that the plating is starting to wear on both earbuds. Oh well, I guess I have rough ears

Some news (news to me anyway):

Soundcore Liberty 5: Anker quietly releases its latest ANC earbuds with 12 hours of battery life

https://www.theverge.com/news/65951...erty-5-wireless-earbuds-bluetooth-dolby-audio

https://support.soundcore.com/s/article/soundcore-Liberty-5-Earbuds-FAQ < Place Holder (it will time out and change URL).
I have the Liberty 2's, 3 pros and 4 SE's. All are good, but basically just incremental updates. It would be interesting to see what Soundcore could do with an all out effort.
These all have the 2 driver setup and can sound top notch with EQ.

Does not seem right esp. as they are not old but may be same as Mice/KB's some people have more acidic sweat.

Actually, you may be right about the sweat. I had a similar issue with an old Apple Watch. The aluminum case got pitted up and awful looking, and I moved on to the titanium cases after that. It could also be bad plating, since I can see the layer underneath.

Think I'm a true believer/convert. BT adapters (Fiio UTWS5) & my IE300 IEM.. No desire to return to TWS.

I can't fully move away form TWS because of the convenience and calls but BT adapters are helpful to quell my itch for a Rex5. I listen to these and I'm good for a bit.

I mean, unless you sweat acid, that is lame. They shouldn't decay imo.

Foam tips? If so, how do you find tip rolling & getting them in, while trying to get the earhooks on & around as well?

I was about to buy the rex5 but unfortunately they feel considerably heavier than I expected and tend to fall a lot. Weirdly enough they fall more and feel heavier than my te-zx1 that are on paper a lot heavier.

I guess something went wrong with the rex5 design because I can run a 5k with my te-zx1 without issue but rex5 fall even on my walk to the supermarket. Thankfully the dude that was selling them was ok with me cancelling because of it.

Has any other similar set been released or announced with different shape?

Still, it's hard to accept a statement of "complete misinformation", I am sure a lot of other users here might have a revelation similar to mine where the difference between 1k IEM and PI8 (or similar great sounding TWS) is neglectable. With your statements you are stipulating that any 1k IEM will always sound "better" (whatever better is) then a 300 USD/Euro TWS, which is also then "complete misinformation". So please, if you are asking me to be more precise and reserved with my statements be the same with yours.
I need to correct myself now. I was listening to Rex5 in direct side by side comparison with Fibae5 and Fibae7u and I can clearly hear the big difference between wired high-end quality IEMs and Rex5. It's all in comparison, if you just listen to them standalone they sound really well but if you start properly comparing then the clarity, wide soundstage and just overall FR does not sound right anymore. On the go they are good enough but will not replace a good wired combo with a good source.
BTW, microphones of Rex5 are really bad, people a constantly complaining if I am in Teams calls with those...
